The 3rd TPM Asia conference£¨Trans-Pacific Maritime Asia Conference£©was successfully held in Shenzhen Intercontinental Hotel from 21-22 Oct., 2009. As one of the major container terminals in Shenzhen, Chiwan Container Termianls (CCT) and Shekou Container Terminals (SCT) had endeavored to facilitate such an international event and furnished as the major platinum sponsors for the past three years. It was also the first time CCT/SCT jointly, under the name of ¡®CMHI Shenzhen Western Port¡¯ and with logistics service providers in that region such as CMML, showed up as a unit.
Commercial delegates from CCT/SCT including CCT Executive Director & President Mr. Zheng Shaoping and SCT Deputy General Manager Mr. Erik Yim, attended the conference, where they took advantage of the platform to promote Shenzhen Western port as well as probe into the market outlook with professionals in the industry.
.jpg) The TPM Asia conference¡ªan outgrowth of the Journal of Commerce¡¯s established TPM conference held each year in Long Beach, California¡ªpresented a series of in-depth sessions focusing on trans-Pacific ocean container trade and logistics from an Asian perspective. According to the agreement Bureau of Communications of Shenzhen Municipality and the Journal of Commerce¡¯s signed in May 2007, TPM £¨Asia£©will be continuously held in Shenzhen for 5 year since 2007. | |
